Yearbook
The Yearbook Committee manages the publication’s content and quality and creates a theme and a plan for using the theme within the yearbook. The committee works to layout the yearbook with photos provided by class representatives and turns the completed project into the publisher to meet the set deadline. The committee also promotes the sale of yearbooks and distributes them to students at the end of the year. Proceeds go to support PTO activities.
Look for an email from the PTO about yearbook sales for this fundraiser.
The PTO is looking for a parent from each classroom to be the classroom photographer. Are you hoping for an enjoyable volunteer opportunity at Foothill that allows you a glimpse into your student’s year and a way to capture the year with their whole class? Each classroom is looking for a yearbook photographer!
This volunteer position only takes a few hours of your time, is flexible with your schedule and you do not need to be a professional. You can work with your class teacher and find the right times and events to join the class and capture class candids for the yearbook. Currently class photographers will not be allowed in the school (per BVSD guidelines) but are welcome to attend all outdoor events. Please consider joining the yearbook committee!
While all of this sounds like it would require some serious photography skills, the truth is that if you have an iPhone, then you're probably qualified! If interested, then please contact our new Yearbook Committee Chair.
2021-22 Yearbook Chair is Meg Pearson
