Walk + Bike to School Day
Walk to School Day is an annual event that promotes walking for several reasons:
Please help your children participate in Walk/Bike to School Day and enjoy the fun!
- Physical activity
- Teaching safe bicycling skills to children
- Awareness of how bikeable our community is and where improvements can be made
- Concern for our environment
- Reducing traffic congestion, pollution and speed near our school
- Sharing time with school leaders, parents and students

Good news, Walk + Bike to School Day celebrations are back! Since they take place outside, we have permission from the district to plan events. We still need walk leaders or bike leaders and some donations of fruit and other snacks, so please volunteer if you want to help out.

Please join us by walking or biking to school with your children. Help us make this day special. Show your support for physical activity and clean air by lacing up your "kicks" or pumping up your tires and joining thousands of BVSD students, parents, teachers and administrators as they walk, bike, or scooter to school. Grab a sticker, sign a banner, and start your day strong!
