Dear Foothill Families,
It is time once again to Fund The Fox! Please take the time to read this email as we explain our annual Fund the Fox fundraising campaign with a goal of 100% participation and suggested donation of $300 per student.
PTO is always so grateful for all of the parent volunteers who give their time and energy to help make the Foothill events spectacular. From Parent Parties to Yearbook to teacher conference help to Bike Bonanza, and all of the smaller ways in between that you help, we couldn't do these events without your support. Community building events are just a few ways the PTO relies on the generosity of our parents to operate, but perhaps more importantly, the PTO uses the vast majority of your monetary donations to invest in personnel not covered by BVSD district funds provided to the school.
In 2022, Principal Knauer asked the PTO to set our fundraising goal at $90,000. (Our incredible parent community made that goal--and more. Thank you again!) This year, the ask by Principal Knauer is again $90,000 as we continue to support several in-school enrichment activities that began last year as well as increase the budget for instructional support. Because transparency is important, please click here to view the current budget for 2023/2024 school year as well as last year’s budget and actual expenditures, which are also included on the Foothill PTO website.
As far as fundraisers go, this one doesn’t require any work—we aren’t asking you to whip up cupcakes for a bake sale. We simply ask for a suggested donation of $300 per student. Of course, contributing to Fund the Fox is voluntary. Please give at a level that is appropriate for your family. No donation is too small—or too big. Our main goal is to achieve 100 percent participation from all Foothill families.
Specifically, funds raised through Fund the Fox for the 2023 - 2024 school year will support:
Please make your online contribution to Fund the Fox here through the PayPal Giving Fund. (Pay with a credit or debit card and PayPal’s charitable arm covers all the processing fees; 100 percent of your contribution goes to our school!)
If you’d prefer to submit a check, please mail it to the Foothill office: Foothill Elementary, PTO Treasurer, 1001 Hawthorn Avenue, Boulder, CO 80304. Checks should be made out to “Foothill Elementary PTO” with “Fund the Fox” in the memo.
Also, many corporations will match their employees’ charitable contributions. Last year we received over $6,000 in matching funds from Foothill family employers. If you could take the time to check whether our employer offers matching, that can be a great way to double your contribution to help the school even more. If you have any questions about matching or want to check if your match was received, please contact our PTO treasurer, Katie Schneider.
We encourage and invite all families to join us, regardless of the level of giving. Whether you are able to contribute $10 or $1,000, it is our collective effort that will make this goal a reality.
The Foothill Elementary PTO is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations count as charitable contributions for tax purposes.
The campaign ends Friday, October 28.
