Trip Tracker
If your children aren’t already registered in the Trip Tracker program, this is your invitation to register them. Participating students earn Trip Tracker dollars for walking, biking, carpooling or riding the RTD or School Bus to school. Trip Tracker Dollars can be spent like cash at over 50 local businesses like Alfalfa’s Markets, Glacier Ice Cream, Gateway Fun Park and Play It Again Sports. Students can also choose to donate their Trip Tracker dollars in support of one of many, local, non-profit agencies in Boulder County. The goal of the program is to reduce automobile congestion and pollution in front of participating schools.
You can register for the program, here. If you participated last year, you will not need to re-register for this year. This year we will track and reward for ‘green trips’ from September 1 through November 30 and January 4 through April 28. You will be able to report each month’s trips on the Trip Tracker website during the first week of the following month. You will receive a monthly email reminding you to do that.
The first Trip Tracker Dollars will be distributed in mid-October. Dollar distribution happens either in the cafeteria (all middle schools and some elementary schools) or through Friday Folders (many elementary schools).
We hope that you will be able to join us in making our school zones safer for our children
