Thank you to everyone who joined us for the free screening of SCREENAGERS: Growing Up in
the Digital Age presented by the Foothill Elementary PTO on November 30. Over 150 parents, staff, and community members attended! Visit www.screenagersmovie.com to access resources and guides for talking about technology with your family. A huge thank you to Foothill parent Melanie Gauss for all her thoughtful and hard work in organizing this amazing community building event. The moderators, Foothill 4th grade teacher Kim Kleinman and Foothill parent Dana James did an excellent job of generating conversation among the guests and facilitating the post film discussion. We couldn’t have done it without the support of Principal Schuba, Kathryn Martinez for organizing the childcare, Ilce Rivero for coordinating translation services for Spanish speaking families and encouraging families to attend, Jonathan Warshaw and James Brittingham for their technical assistance, and our hard working custodian Almir Omerovic for setting up the gym and staying late to put away the chairs. It was a tremendous team effort and the Foothill PTO greatly appreciates the time and energy everyone put into making it possible for Foothill to host the screening of this relevant and timely film.
