Our interdisciplinary approaches to learning are inquiry-based, student-centered and collaborative. We encourage anyone interested in learning more about Foothill Elementary to attend our Parent Information Night and Guided School Tours. Please be aware, these events are for parents only. Each grade had their own garden lessons designed by the amazing Growe Foundation, and we raised nearly $500 from the farmer’s markets.
On October 31st a team of volunteers and leaders from Growe got the garden ready for the winter by pulling the plants out of the soil and raking compost on top. We’re excited to get going again in the spring! If you didn't happen to step inside the walls of Foothill Elementary on Halloween, you'll be kicking yourself after seeing these photos. You might have stepped inside of a school but within a couple of feet, you were immediately transported into the Land of Oz. The front office staff completely transformed their space into something straight out of Kansas, complete with poppies, flying monkeys, a twister and of course, the yellow brick road. A big shout out to the amazing women that make Foothill a magical place to spend each day, Halloween or not. Kathy Crouch - Tin Man Asst. Principal Laurel Reckert - Glinda Principal Schuba - The Wicked Witch Nancy Sissom - Scarecrow Katri Thorpe - Cowardly Lion Peggy Pease - Dorothy Kathryn Martinez - Wizard of Oz We can't wait to see what you'll do next year!
